Seventy-one ideas from Nizhny Novgorod residents have been brought to life under the "You Decide!" project.

      In Nizhny Novgorod, the implementation of all initiatives selected in 2025 under the governor’s participatory budgeting project "You Decide!" has been completed. This was reported by Mayor Yury Shalabaev.

      According to him, this year 71 projects proposed by Nizhny Novgorod residents were implemented in various districts of the city. The implementation was made possible thanks to the support of the regional government and the city administration. Under the program, 24 road sections were repaired, eight children's and two sports playgrounds were installed, sports infrastructure was upgraded in 22 schools and, for the first time, in one kindergarten. In addition, new surfacing was laid on the grounds of 12 kindergartens and two schools. During the voting stage on the projects, city residents cast more than 121,000 votes.

      The city head stressed that the "You Decide!" project will continue next year. He expressed hope that Nizhny Novgorod residents will once again be active and participate in the voting and in submitting initiatives.

      As clarified by the Department of Social Communications and Youth Policy of the mayor’s office, 18 projects were implemented in the Avtozavodsky district, 10 in Sormovsky, 9 in Sovetsky, 8 in Kanavinsky, 7 each in Leninsky and Nizhegorodsky, 6 in Moskovsky, 4 in Prioksky, and 2 in Novinki.

      Department director Artur Shtoyan noted that special attention was paid to the improvement of school grounds. In particular, new running tracks have been installed at several educational institutions, which will allow children to practice athletics, meet standards and hold school competitions in comfortable conditions. He emphasized that such results became possible thanks to the active participation of residents in the governor’s "You Decide!" project.
