      At a meeting of a commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation, measures to support participants in the special military operation (SMO) and their families in the regions were discussed. Governor Andrey Vorobyov spoke about the regional initiatives of the Moscow Region.

      A one-stop system has been created in the Moscow Region to simplify access to assistance. Forty federal services are available through the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund and multifunctional centers (MFCs). Regional support includes 35 additional measures.

      The measures cover financial payments, rehabilitation, priority placement of children in kindergartens, free extracurricular classes and camps.

      Special attention is paid to health recovery — three specialized centers are operating. Veterans are learning new professions, participating in the "Time of Heroes" and "Heroes of the Moscow Region" programs, and receiving help with employment and adaptation. The fund installs ramps and carries out reconfigurations to create an accessible environment.
