Nearly 20,000 passengers with reduced mobility received assistance at Gorky Railway stations.

      Specialized assistance at the station complexes of the Gorky Railway in January–August 2025 was provided to almost 20,000 passengers with reduced mobility. This is 9% more than in the same period in 2024.

      Requests are accepted by the Mobility Assistance Center of JSC Russian Railways (RZD). The largest number of requests came from visitors to the stations Nizhny Novgorod (4,400), Kirov (3,300), Kazan (2,200), Izhevsk (1,600) and Kazan‑Vosstanie (1,200).

      Center staff meet passengers with disabilities, help issue travel documents, accompany them around the station complex and assist with boarding trains. In addition, if necessary, passengers are provided with a wheelchair or a stretcher for bedridden patients, and assistance with luggage transport is provided. All these services are free of charge.

      The Mobility Assistance Center of JSC Russian Railways (RZD) operates around the clock without days off. You can get information about services, submit a request for accompaniment and assistance, and reserve seats on long‑distance trains on the JSC Russian Railways website in the “Passengers with Reduced Mobility” section or by phone: 8 (800) 775-00-00. A request can be submitted up to three days before the trip, but no less than 24 hours before the time the services are to be provided.
