A decrease in the cost of one of the most popular autumn desserts — apple sharlotka — has been recorded in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This is evidenced by data published on the portal of the Central Bank of Russia's "Financial Culture" project.
The so‑called Sharlotka Index, calculated based on average prices for apples, flour, eggs, sugar and butter, showed a decline of three rubles, or 3.22%, compared with the same period last year.
If in 2024 the average cost of the set of ingredients for a sharlotka was 95 rubles, then in 2025 it is already 92 rubles.

As noted on the portal, sharlotka is not only a tasty autumn treat but also a kind of indicator of price changes for basic products. The index makes it easy to track price dynamics in everyday life.
In addition, website users can calculate their personal inflation by entering actual expenses for food, clothing, transport, leisure and other categories. This helps to understand how prices have changed for a particular person, rather than on average across the country or region.
Earlier it was reported that the Central Bank of Russia lowered the key rate to 17%. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
