      A criminal case has been opened in Pavlovo against a local businesswoman suspected of commercial bribery on a particularly large scale.

      According to the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, from January 2019 to September 2025 the woman systematically handed over cash to the head and the senior engineer of the design and construction department of one of the factories.

      According to the investigation, the bribes were made in the interests of the suspect herself and an organization under her control. The money was intended to influence the decisions of the tender commission and the company's management when selecting the winners of procurement procedures.

      The total amount of illegally transferred funds, according to preliminary data, amounted to at least 5 million rubles.

      Investigators continue to carry out the necessary procedural actions to establish all the circumstances of the incident, as well as the causes and conditions that may have contributed to the commission of the crime.
