Gorky Railway presented career opportunities to participants of the World Youth Festival rally.

      Society — Gorky Railway, a branch of JSC Russian Railways, presented young people with career development prospects at the gathering of the World Festival of Youth (12+). The event is taking place at the Nizhny Novgorod Fairgrounds from 17 to 21 September 2025.

      The World Festival of Youth gathering is a large-scale international event that brought together 2,000 young people from Russia and 120 countries around the world, including citizens of the CIS, African countries, Europe and East Asia. The ceremonial opening of the gathering took place on 18 September in Nizhny Novgorod.

      Railway employees are telling young specialists about the specifics of working in the transport industry, current vacancies and promising future projects of the Gorky mainline. They also share knowledge of the railway’s history and interesting facts, paying attention to the rules of safe behavior on transport infrastructure.

      According to the head of the Gorky Railway, Sergey Dorofeevsky, such platforms, organized in a format of direct interaction with participants, help schoolchildren, graduates and young specialists learn about employment opportunities in the holding and additional social guarantees.

      In addition to working on the general platform, employees of the Gorky mainline are conducting individual career consultations lasting 30 minutes, helping applicants better understand prospects for development within the company.

      Over the course of several days of the gathering, participants will attend 86 events across seven key areas: media, creative industries and creativity, public administration, entrepreneurship, sport, education and science, digitalization and IT. The program will include more than 200 Russian speakers and around 60 experts from 39 countries.

      The organizer of the World Festival of Youth gathering is the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), co-organizer — the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, operator — the Directorate of the World Festival of Youth. The event is being implemented within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children.”

      It should be added that the Gorky Railway has for several years been implementing a comprehensive “Young Specialist” program, under which significant social, career and material support is provided to employees under 30. To date, the total number of young specialists on the mainline exceeds 10,000 people.
