One person was killed and three were injured in a multi-vehicle accident in Nizhny Novgorod.

      A serious crash involving three cars occurred during the day on September 13 in the Leninsky District. Three people were injured and one died, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region reported.

      According to preliminary information, at around three in the afternoon at the intersection of Novikova-Priboya and Kirovskaya streets, a 52-year-old driver of a Porsche Cayenne ran a red light and collided with a Volga, which was being driven by a 59-year-old man. The impact sent the SUV off the road and into a public transport stop, where a woman was standing at the time. After that the Porsche was thrown into a parking area, where it also collided with a LADA Priora.

      The Volga’s driver died at the scene. The driver of the foreign-made car, the passenger from the domestic car and the woman from the bus stop were taken to hospital. Traffic police officers are determining all the details of the incident at the scene.

      Earlier it was reported that a teenager on a motorcycle died as a result of a collision with a foreign-made car in Pavlov.
