      Society. In Nizhny Novgorod a state of heightened readiness has been declared due to a slope washout on the right bank of the Oka near the Myzinsky Bridge. The corresponding decree, signed on 3 September 2025, was posted on the official portal of the mayor’s office.

      The danger zone is located at the bridge supports on the side of Larina Street in the Prioksky District. The area has already been cordoned off and fitted with warning signs.

      The decision to introduce the regime was made following a meeting of the commission for the prevention and liquidation of emergencies, which took place at the end of July. However, the measures formally came into effect on 29 July.

      The municipal state institution "Department of Engineering Protection of the Territories of the City of Nizhny Novgorod" has been instructed to organize emergency restoration work. The agency’s tasks include eliminating the erosion, restoring the collector, repairing engineering structures, and creating a surface water drainage system.

      It was previously reported that the major overhaul of the overpass at the Myzinsky Bridge had been temporarily suspended in Nizhny Novgorod.
