      Society. By 20:00 on 13 September turnout in the elections for deputies in the Nizhny Novgorod region reached 18.88%. This was reported by the regional election commission.

      Voting is taking place from 12 to 14 September. 1,275 polling stations involved in the Single Voting Day in the region will open on 14 September, the last day of the elections, at exactly 08:00 and will be open until 20:00.

      As part of the election campaign, the composition of 428 deputies is to be determined. 1,338 people are competing for the mandates. Of these, 29 candidates are running as independents, the rest represent various political parties.

      The elections cover 25 municipal districts and 4 urban districts of the region. In particular, a new composition of the City Duma is being formed in Nizhny Novgorod, where 39 deputies are to be elected.

      Earlier it was reported that Gleb Nikitin and Yuri Shalabaev voted in the elections.
