Voter turnout in the elections for deputies in the Nizhny Novgorod region as of 15:00 on 13 September was 14.9%, the regional election commission reported.
Recall that voting is taking place over three days — from 12 to 14 September. Polling stations are open from 8:00 to 20:00.
As part of the campaign, 428 deputies are to be elected. A total of 1,338 candidates are competing for the mandates, of whom 29 were self-nominated; the rest represent various political parties.
The elections are being held across 25 municipal and 4 city districts, including Nizhny Novgorod. In particular, 39 deputies will be elected to the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma.
Earlier, it was reported that no violations were recorded on the first day of voting.
