      On the evening of September 13, the general director of the football club Pari Nizhny Novgorod, David Melik-Guseinov, announced that he was ending his work at the Nizhny Novgorod club. In his personal Telegram channel he wrote that it was time to say "thank you" and move on. He also noted that he intends to focus on other projects, the details of which he will reveal later.

      Notably, Melik-Guseinov announced his departure after Pari NN's victorious match: the Nizhny Novgorod side defeated Orenburg 3-1 at the stadium in Saransk.

      Club representatives responded by thanking him for his work and his contribution to the development of the club. They noted his involvement in key processes and his utmost dedication.

      "You held the helm firmly, confidently and reliably managing our club. Under your leadership we launched many projects, the recognition of our club increased, and our fanbase grew! Together we managed to get through many challenges, and we overcame them with dignity, coping with the difficulties as well," reads the message posted on the official Telegram channel of FC Pari NN.

      Recall that David Melik-Guseinov took charge of FC Pari NN in July 2023. Before that he served as Minister of Health of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and was deputy governor during the pandemic. Interestingly, at the end of August, when the first reports of the general director's departure appeared, Melik-Guseinov urged people not to spread rumors.

      Now the selection of candidates for the position will be handled by the head of the Center for Regional Sports Management, Maxim Gafurov.
