      A large-scale reconstruction of the tramway infrastructure is underway in Nizhny Novgorod. According to LLC "Ecological Projects", which told NIA "Nizhny Novgorod", work is currently being carried out on 14 sections of the street and road network.

      In the upper part of the city, repairs are being carried out on Zelensky Descent, Oktyabrskaya Street (from Alekseevskaya to Osharskaya), the intersection of Oktyabrskaya and Osharskaya, Piskunova Street (from Osharskaya to Alekseevskaya), Alekseevskaya Street (from Piskunova to Chernoprudsky Lane), and Osharskaya Street (from Piskunova to Oktyabrskaya).

      Track replacement is also underway on the sections from Nevzorovykh Street to Genkina, from Genkina to Kuznechikhinskaya, and further to the turning loop in Lapshiha.

      Work is also underway on Ilyinskaya Street — from Maslyakov Street to Dobrolyubov Street.

      In the Zarechny part of the city, the repairs have affected the turning loop by May 1 Park on Aksakov Street, the section between the Malyshevo settlement and the village of Gnilitsy, as well as the stretches "Sotsgorod-1" and "Sotsgorod-2".

      It was previously reported that more than 90 kilometers of tram tracks have been built in Nizhny Novgorod.

      The editorial office of NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" also published a list of locations where the relaying of tram tracks will take place in 2026.
