The forum of the "Social Precinct Officer" project has started in Nizhny Novgorod.

      Society: The forum of the governor's project "Social Precinct Officer" opened in Nizhny Novgorod. The event is taking place on September 9 in the concert hall of the "Pakgausy" cultural center at the Strelka.

      Gleb Nikitin, Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, greeting the participants, noted that concerned citizens and civil society activists of the region had gathered in the hall.

      "You are people who care, who want to make life better in your towns, who take care of your neighbors, help them create and, most importantly, assume responsibility for the well-being of your hometown," the governor said.

      Gleb Nikitin reminded that the "Social Precinct Officer" project, launched in spring 2023, had no equivalents in the country, and Nizhny Novgorod Region remains a pilot region and an example for others.

      According to the governor, during the work of the social precinct officers more than 750 events have been organized, in which tens of thousands of Nizhny Novgorod residents took part. The twelfth round of precinct visits has started; more than 750,000 questionnaires with citizens' appeals have been collected. About a thousand social precinct officers carry out this work.

      "These results have been achieved thanks to your energy and the contribution of each of you. They show that you are able to reach practically every resident," the governor said.

      He added that such coverage was precisely the project's goal — to reach every resident. He called this format the best and most productive way of communicating.

      The forum is attended by representatives of the regional government, project coordinators from the deputy corps, the chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma Evgeny Chintsov, and the general director of ANO "House of National Unity" Roman Koshelev.

      An open dialogue between the regional head and the social precinct officers is scheduled as part of the event. The most active project participants will be awarded for their work for the benefit of the region's residents.

      Recall, the "Social Precinct Officers" project began in spring 2023 at the initiative of Governor Gleb Nikitin. It is now being implemented in Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, Arzamas, Bogorodsk and Kstovo.
