This issue, among others, was discussed at a meeting of the head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, with the Russian Minister of Sport, Mikhail Degtyarev. As the head of the republic noted, this sports facility is very much needed. "Track and field is a popular sport, and there has never been an indoor track and field arena in the republic," Radiy Khabirov said. "We also discussed holding a number of major international and federal events in Bashkortostan," the head of the republic reported on his Telegram channel. "In particular, as early as this December we will hold the first CIS games for children with disabilities, and in 2026 and 2028 we will host Russia's main national sports competitions — the Spartakiad of the Strongest in summer and winter sports."
