The Nizhny Novgorod cable car transported 1.5 million people after modernization.

      The cable car connecting Nizhny Novgorod and Bor carried nearly 1.5 million people in the four months after its upgrade. That is 41% more than in the same period a year earlier, JSC "Nizhny Novgorod Cableways" reported.

      Most passengers travel on weekends, especially in the morning and afternoon. On weekdays people more often use the cable car in the evening to get around traffic jams and save time.

      Tour groups visit the cable car daily; however, in summer the main flow is on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. To avoid queues and ensure comfort, tours are usually held during the day.

      Recall that the modernization was completed at the end of April 2025. At that time the old cabins were replaced with new ones and their number increased from 28 to 56. As a result, capacity doubled to 1,000 people per hour.

      It was previously reported that the floor covering in the boarding and disembarking area at the "Borskaya" station of the Nizhny Novgorod cable car will be renewed.
