      The Institute for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Agglomeration commented on the fate of the "Vodnik" stadium, which is the subject of rumors.

      In its Telegram channel the agency emphasized that fake images and concepts that have no relation to the real project are being circulated online. Earlier, renders appeared showing high-rise buildings around the football field. However, they are not related to the real project. As the institute explained, the development of the master plan as part of the state assignment for 2025 is still ongoing.

      "Any references and concepts circulating in the public domain are not the official project on which the government is working. The current development is being carried out in accordance with established procedures and, upon completion, will be submitted for approval to the authorized bodies of the regional government, and then for consideration by the regional headquarters," the statement says.

      The master plan is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. Until that time the document will not be put up for public discussion, since it is in the stage of preparation and coordination.

      The institute urged people to rely exclusively on official sources of information, which will appear after all necessary approval stages have been completed.

      Recall that the "Vodnik" stadium was declared unsafe, and access to its territory has been closed since August 29. It later emerged that 14 permanent structures are planned to be demolished on the site.

      A Public Council is now being formed to address issues regarding the future of the stadium. According to preliminary information, they want to build a physical culture and wellness complex in its place. It may include an indoor ice arena, a year-round football field and sports grounds. The master plan is planned to be approved by the end of 2025.

      Earlier it was reported that a heightened readiness regime had been introduced on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod "Vodnik" stadium.
