      Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Gleb Nikitin came in 7th place in the media ranking of heads of Russian regions based on the results of August 2025. The study was prepared by the analytical agency "G.U.R.U.".

      According to the head of the analytical center, Roman Permyakov, ahead of Knowledge Day the center of the regional agenda traditionally included the modernization of educational institutions and preparations for the new school year. The main topic for the regions remained support for the special military operation (SMO).

      Among the highly visible topics at the federal level were gubernatorial initiatives on demographics and population preservation.

      Permyakov noted that Governor Gleb Nikitin, promoting an initiative for a total ban on vapes, secured the president's support at a personal meeting, and then that of his colleagues, effectively launching a gubernatorial trend.

      Recall that based on July results the head of the region was in 12th place in the ranking.
