Winners of the "I Live Here, I Create Here!" beautification contest were awarded in the Avtozavodsky District.

      Winners of the house-adjacent greening and improvement contest "I live here, I create here" were awarded in the Avtozavodsky District of Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by the district administration. A total of 221 applications were submitted to the contest from 237 Avtozavod residents, including 33 debutants. Forty-four participants became winners. The contest was held in seven categories: "Best entrance area design," "Private-sector front garden," "Oasis at an apartment building," "Garden decor and small architecture," "Collective yard area design," "Largest floral composition," and "Discovery of the Year."

      According to the head of the district, Alexander Nagin, the contest has been held for 26 years. "In the early years only 10 people participated, and now more than 200 Avtozavod residents share the beauty of their front gardens. Over the entire period of the contest, more than 3,000 district residents have been able to take part," he noted, adding that creative, inventive and hard-working people live in Avtozavod.

      Avtozavod residents were also congratulated on their well-deserved victory by a deputy of the City Duma, Maria Kuznetsova. "Thank you for making Avtozavod more beautiful, for your initiative and desire to transform the world around you. We appreciate this and are ready to support your boldest ideas for the benefit of the Avtozavodsky District," she said.

      "Avtozavodsky District has always been distinguished by orderliness, measured rhythm and beauty. And much of this is thanks to the joint work of Avtozavod residents and the district administration. Each of you puts effort and soul into what you do. And it is very pleasant to see that you participate in the contest with your whole families," emphasized Oksana Degtyareva, director of the ANO "Public Self-Government of Nizhny Novgorod."

      All winners were presented with diplomas, certificates and commemorative gifts.
