      The Gordeevsky viaduct in Nizhny Novgorod has been removed from the concession agreement for the renewal of tram lines. In its place, Ilyinskaya Street has been added to the plan. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by LLC "Ecological Projects".

      The decision to change the project was made at the initiative of the city's Department of Transport. The department explained that before starting repairs of the tracks on the Gordeevsky viaduct, its load-bearing structures need to be replaced.

      At the same time, the key parameters of the concession remain unchanged. The total cost of the project is still estimated at 50.4 billion rubles.

      The agreement provides for the relaying of almost 140 km of tram tracks (more than 90 km have already been replaced), the modernization of three depots and 15 traction substations, as well as the purchase of 170 modern tram cars. All work must be completed by the end of 2026.

      It was reported that a new phase of reconstruction of the tram tracks has begun on Ilyinskaya Street. We also reported on new restrictions in the areas of Oktyabrskaya and Osharskaya streets in connection with the track replacement.
