      Rosprirodnadzor, during an inspection, found serious violations in the operation of the municipal unitary enterprise "Vodokanal" of the town of Vorsma in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Inspectors found that the company's treatment facilities were not performing their functions. Wastewater exceeding established standards entered the Kishma River, and the reports contained distorted information.

      In total, specialists recorded 16 violations. They related both to the use of a laboratory without accreditation and to errors in recording discharges and in calculating the fee for negative environmental impact.

      Following the inspection, the enterprise was issued an order to correct the identified violations.

      The municipal unitary enterprise "Vodokanal" attempted to challenge the requirements in court. However, the Arbitration Court of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and then the appellate instance, recognized Rosprirodnadzor's position as lawful.
