This year LUKOIL's key city, Kogalym, celebrates its half-century anniversary. Over 50 years Kogalym has grown from a small settlement into one of Russia's most dynamically developing cities, with a growing tourist flow.

Its cultural life is unique: with LUKOIL's support a branch of the Maly Theatre, a cultural and exhibition center of the Russian Museum, the Church of the Holy Martyr Tatiana, and one of the world's largest aquariums have opened here. With the opening of a world-class Educational Center, the city has become a key place for training engineering personnel for the fuel and energy sector.

At the end of August Kogalym celebrated its birthday with a series of festive events. One of the central events was a large concert featuring not only professional artists but also talented LUKOIL employees.

Operator of technological units at LLC "LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez," Artem Abramov, shared his impressions of participating in the concert:

"Performing on stage in front of a large audience is always exciting. Especially when you carry such a weight of responsibility—to represent our entire plant and a city so far from Kogalym, Nizhny Novgorod! It's very gratifying that I was invited to perform at such a significant event. By the way, my inner artist and factory worker fit together perfectly, because LUKOIL holds many corporate events for young people and helps to develop not only professional skills but also creative potential."
