      A serious road traffic accident occurred on the M-12 high-speed motorway in the Nizhny Novgorod region. A video of the moment of the crash was published on the Telegram channel of the state company "Avtodor."

      The footage shows a passenger car losing control at high speed and crashing into the road barrier twice. The impact was so powerful that the driver and passenger were thrown through the windshield onto the roadway.

      According to preliminary information, the car was traveling at about 90 km/h at the time of the accident. It is possible that the driver fell asleep at the wheel.

      Both injured parties sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.

      Earlier it was reported that a traffic accident involving an ambulance in Nizhny Novgorod resulted in doctors being injured.
