      Authorities of Nizhny Novgorod propose to amend the beautification rules to speed up the process of social catch-up gasification. The draft of the corresponding amendments has already been posted on the official website of the city administration and is undergoing public discussion, which will end on September 16.

      To date, gas distribution organizations are required to obtain a permit from the administration to carry out earthworks. This procedure takes time and often causes delays in connecting houses to the gas supply.

      According to the proposed changes, work on laying gas pipelines within the framework of social catch-up gasification will be moved to a notification-based procedure. This means that companies will need to pre-agree the work scheme with the mayor’s office, after which it will be sufficient to send a notification of the start dates.

      After submitting the notification, organizations will be able to immediately begin construction and the restoration of landscaping at the work site.

      The draft also includes approved forms for notification of the start of work and for the acceptance certificate for the restored landscaping. This will help standardize the process and reduce the number of bureaucratic procedures required to connect housing to gas.

      Earlier it was reported that 53 billion rubles will be allocated for the construction of new gas pipelines in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
