The death of a worker while cleaning windows in Nizhny Novgorod has led to a criminal case.

      A criminal case has been opened by investigators into the death of a worker on Zhukov Street in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      According to the law enforcement agency, the accident occurred on August 15. The man was on the roof of a four-story building; at some point he slipped off the roof and fell. He suffered injuries incompatible with life.

      The Investigative Committee opened a case on signs of a crime under Part 2 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — violation of safety rules during work that resulted in a person's death.

      Investigators will have to assess the actions of officials responsible for carrying out work at the site.

      Earlier it became known that a criminal case was opened after the death of a worker who fell from the fifth floor in Novinki.
