      The sixth congress of pediatricians "Pediatrics as Art" opened in the Moscow Region, reports 360.ru. It involves specialists from 40 regions of Russia and 11 countries worldwide, and more than 7,000 medical professionals joined the event online.

      Governor Andrey Vorobyov launched the congress, thanked the doctors for their work and presented regional awards to the best pediatricians. He noted that the forum brings together leading specialists, helps find new opportunities and develop medical care for children. According to the head of the region, it is unacceptable to stop progress in this area.

      The congress has been held since 2020 and has already gained the status of a flagship event for the entire country. This year the program will run from September 3 to 5. Doctors will take part in symposia, exchange experiences, discuss clinical cases, as well as issues of dietetics, rare (orphan) diseases, nursing and other fields.

      The venues feature an exhibition of innovative technologies in pediatrics. It showcases modern equipment for treatment and rehabilitation, as well as digital services implemented in the region in 2025.

      Support for pediatricians

      More than 2,600 pediatricians work in the Moscow Region. There are professional and social support programs for them.

      Under the "Our District Doctor" project, young specialists receive mentoring, psychological support and measures to prevent professional burnout. More than 300 doctors have already been adapted under this program, which has helped reduce staff shortages.

      In addition, pediatricians have access to social mortgages, housing rent compensation, bonuses for attracting new employees and other measures.

      Healthcare system

      More than 70,000 children are born in the region each year. To support this, a developed obstetric care system has been created: six perinatal centers and the Clinical Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology of MONIAG.

      The Leonid Roshal Children's Medical Center operates in Krasnogorsk. Patients from across the country receive care here in 28 specialties. Last year the center performed over 16,000 operations and treated about 30,000 children. A Telemedicine Center operates at the institution, where up to 300 consultations are conducted daily.

      Since September 1 a branch of the center began operating in Romashkovo. Pediatricians, therapists, ultrasound specialists and other experts are seeing patients. Adults can also receive care at the new unit.

      The development of medical infrastructure, the regional government emphasized, has significantly reduced the infant mortality rate in the Moscow Region.
