SVO volunteer: "I can't stay on the sidelines — I'm going for our victory!"

       SocietyA group of volunteers signed military contracts and left Nizhny Novgorod for combat training before participating in the special military operation. At the Nizhny Novgorod selection point, the contract soldiers underwent the mandatory medical examination and briefing.

      The group of those who decided to go to the SMO zone included men from different regions of the country, people of different ages, with and without combat experience. Dozens of volunteers are giving up civilian professions for military specialties to join their comrades.

      Thus, a volunteer from Yekaterinburg worked as a crane operator of the highest grade before signing the contract. He said his decision was based on personal concerns for his loved ones.

      “I am going on the special operation and I am confident that I will cope with all the tasks. My brother has been fighting in the SMO for more than three years. He shared unpleasant moments concerning the attitude of the Ukrainian authorities toward people, both civilians and servicemen. Therefore I cannot stand aside and I am going for our Victory!” the volunteer shared.

      Another volunteer — from Kemerovo — is convinced that the unity of the people is its strength. He explained his desire to participate in the special operation not only by personal feelings but also by a sense of responsibility for the country’s future.

      “Although I have not undergone special training and have not been taught military affairs, when the question arose of how to act next, I packed up and went without hesitation. I am sure that all the necessary skills will come with time, in the course of service. Every person leaves a mark in history that will be remembered decades later. I strive to leave a good memory of myself so that my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren can be proud of me. Victory will be ours! God is with us, strength is with us and the Russian spirit!” the recruit shared.

      Recall that the state provides defenders of the Motherland with decent financial support and helps their families. Also, those who sign a contract and go to the SMO zone are issued certificates for the provision of 10 sotkas of land in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The certificate can be used two years after its receipt.

      In addition, the Nizhny Novgorod region operates a mechanism for concluding military social contracts, which additionally guarantee the contract serviceman’s family 10,000 rubles per month for each child, benefits for payment of housing and communal services, preschool service benefits and other types of support. Individual support for the servicemember’s family is also provided.

      The dispatch of volunteers to their place of service and the issuance of additional equipment is ensured by the Coordination Center for the Support of Servicemen, the Mobilized and their Families, operating at the House of National Unity.
