      A "Municipality Day" dedicated to the town of Kulebaki was held at the United Russia public support headquarters in Nizhny Novgorod.

      "A landmark event that will help introduce the residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region to the culture, life, enterprises and nature of our area," said district head Artem Payatelev.

      According to him, Kulebaki is a town where industrial strength meets cultural traditions. "I invite everyone to visit and see for themselves the beauty of Kulebaki’s nature and sights," he added.

      Various exhibition areas were open to visitors, including a decorative and applied arts area, an accordion zone, and an exhibition of Russian folk art. At the tasting area guests were treated to the traditional dish "kulebyaka." In addition, there were master classes on making protective talisman dolls, spinning sheep’s wool on a spindle, and decorating gingerbread cookies. Nizhny Novgorod residents could also learn to weave camouflage nets, sample instant soups, and learn about the activities of Ruspolimeta. The local folk ensemble "Rossiyanka" performed for guests.

      "I really enjoyed this day! My eyes were dazzled by the variety — I wanted to try everything: make a doll, spin, and taste the local cuisine," said one visitor, Olga Ivanova.

      As previously noted by the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region and secretary of the regional branch of United Russia, Gleb Nikitin, the main goal of the "Municipality Day" project is to tell residents of Nizhny Novgorod and guests from other regions about the achievements of specific territories.

      "This is a large-scale festival where municipalities share their best practices in implementing projects and residents’ initiatives, in working with neighborhood associations, and also help residents solve problematic issues," the head of the region said.

      "'Municipality Day' allows residents of the region to discover the map of the Nizhny Novgorod region and to show the originality of the municipalities, to show which enterprises operate there, how residents live, and what successes they have. New creative unions are formed within the framework of Municipality Day, and production companies find new partners," added Dmitry Filipenko, head of the regional executive committee of the NRO of the United Russia party.

      It should be noted that support for the municipal community, public initiatives, and the implementation of various programs and projects with the participation of residents are included in the party's popular program.
