Nizhny Novgorod's "Normanochka" shut out Colombia at the World Cup.

      The women's mini-football team "Normanochka" from Nizhny Novgorod continues its campaign in the group stage of the World Cup in Brazil. In their second match of the tournament the players recorded a clean-sheet victory over opponents from Colombia.

      The match against "La Perla" ended with a convincing 4:0 score in favor of the Nizhny Novgorod side. Already in the first half "Normanochka" secured a comfortable lead. Darya Kvasova opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, and ten minutes later Evgenia Kovalenko doubled the lead. In the 17th minute Aleksandra Samorodova made it 3:0.

      In the second half the teams played more cautiously, and the only goal was scored by Elizaveta Nikitina in the 38th minute after a spell of numerical superiority.

      Evgenia Kovalenko was named the best player of the match.

      Recall that in their first group match "Normanochka" routed the Argentine team 14:1.

      The Nizhny Novgorod side will play their final group match against "New York Ecuador" from the United States. The game will start at midnight on August 29.

      Earlier it was reported that "Pari NN" suffered a heavy defeat in a match against Moscow's "Spartak."
