      The Voskresenskoye – Vozdvizhenskoye – Borovsky cordon road, which connects the Voskresensky and Krasnobakovsky districts in the Nizhny Novgorod region, has been fully brought up to standard: repairs on three sections under the national project "Infrastructure for Life" have been completed. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Highways of the region.

      "The route is intermunicipal; it connects the Voskresensky and Krasnobakovsky districts. But the main point is that it actually serves as an alternate route to the Nizhny Novgorod – Shakhunya – Kirov road. Before the start of repairs under the national project, traffic here was not very intense. This was due to the condition of the roadway—parts of the asphalt surface were severely worn, there were potholes. Now traffic intensity will definitely increase because the road has been brought up to standard. The contractor promises that the renewed asphalt concrete pavement will serve for about ten years," said Leonid Samukhin, director of the State Public Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "Main Directorate of Highways" (GKU NO "GUAD").

      The total length of the three repaired sections is 27 km. Contractors cleared the slopes of woody and shrub vegetation, constructed leveling and top layers of asphalt concrete pavement, reinforced the shoulders with crushed stone, and applied road markings. Twenty-five people and 50 pieces of equipment worked on the site. The commission evaluated the flatness of the pavement, transverse slopes, and the conformity of the physical volumes to the technical documentation. The project was accepted ahead of schedule. The cost of the work under the state contract amounted to 722 million rubles.

      During the implementation of the national project, the Voskresenskoye – Vozdvizhenskoye – Borovsky cordon road was brought up to standard along its entire length, about 52 km.

      Recall that in the Nizhny Novgorod region in 2025, according to signed contracts, it is planned to repair more than 625 km of roads. More than 19 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes.

      Road repairs in the Nizhny Novgorod region are being carried out within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," which was initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, with the aim of providing citizens with modern infrastructure.

      The project consists of 11 federal projects, which are in part a continuation of the previously implemented national projects "Safe and High-Quality Roads," "Housing and Urban Environment," and federal programs of the Russian Federation. They are aimed, among other things, at developing road construction, housing and communal services, ensuring road traffic safety, and developing public passenger transport.
