Another horrific traffic accident with a fatality occurred on the M-7 in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      A fatal road accident occurred on August 28 in the Kstovsky District of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. This was reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

      According to preliminary information, the accident happened at about 12:10 on the 445th kilometer of the M-7 federal highway, which connects Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan.

      A Lada Granta, driven by a man born in 1973, was traveling toward Kstovo from Lyskovo. At some point the driver entered the oncoming lane, where it collided with a KamAZ truck. It was driven by a man born in 2001.

      The impact was head-on and extremely severe — the passenger car driver died at the scene, before medics arrived.

      The truck driver was injured and received first medical aid.

      State Traffic Inspectorate officers continue to clarify all the circumstances of the tragedy.

      Earlier it was reported that a fatal accident involving two trucks occurred in the Volodarsky District of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.
