      Payment for bus fares via geolocation is not yet possible, NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" was told by JSC "Nizhegorodpassazhiravtotrans".

      Earlier, the Telegram channel "Nizhegorodsky Transport", created at the initiative of the Public Headquarters for Transport Development in the region, published information about the possibility of paying fares using geolocation. However, the statement was premature.

      At NPAT they said that work is currently underway to place QR codes in bus interiors and to test the system.

      "We will announce the launch dates for the possibility of paying fares by this method additionally," they added.
