Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing that the domestic fuel market in Russia remains stable and fully supplied. This information was reported by the 360 TV channel.
When asked by journalists about additional measures to protect oil refineries following strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Peskov replied: "For various reasons there are fluctuations, the fuel market is fully supplied. The situation is under control, measures are being taken."
According to information, Alexander Shokhin, head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin in which he proposed implementing a system of 50% compensation for Russian enterprises affected by attacks from Ukrainian drones. In particular, this concerns reimbursement of costs for the construction of protective structures and the restoration of capacities in the form of compensation by means of deductions from excise duties on liquid steel, gas, or petroleum products, the letter notes.
Recall that earlier State Duma deputy from the Nizhny Novgorod region Yuri Stankevich commented on the situation in the fuel market, stating that he considers talk of a "gasoline crisis" to be speculative and unacceptable.
According to the parliamentarian, problems do exist, primarily due to unscheduled repairs at a number of oil refineries, including those caused by terrorist attacks. However, as Stankevich emphasized, current volumes of gasoline and diesel production are sufficient to meet the country's domestic needs.
He also noted that Russia has an additional supply reserve under agreements with Belarus, and that production companies and regulators are acting in a coordinated manner, understanding the importance of ensuring fuel stability.
