Third truck crash in the Nizhny Novgorod region in a day: two people killed

      A fatal crash involving a passenger car and a truck occurred at the 30th kilometer of the Nizhny Novgorod–Kirov highway at around 14:25 on August 28. This was reported by the regional traffic police.

      Preliminary information indicates that the driver of a Lada Kalina failed to choose a safe speed and collided with a Hino truck that was stopped ahead. As a result of the collision, the driver and a passenger of the car died at the scene.

      Investigative and operational team members are working at the scene. The identities of the deceased and all the circumstances of the incident are being established.

      It should be noted that on August 28 two other fatal accidents occurred on the M-7 highway. One was in the Kstovsky district, the other in the Volodarsky district. Each accident resulted in one death.
