      From September 1, the E-6 electric-bus route in Nizhny Novgorod will be extended to Verkhniye Pechery, and the number of vehicles on the line will double — from two to four buses, the Center for the Development of Transport Systems of the region said.

      Now the electric buses will start from the "4th Nagorny Microdistrict" stop and will run along Brinskogo Street, Kazan Highway, Lopatin Street, Verkhne-Pecherskaya Street, Kompozitora Kasyanova Street and Akademicheskaya Street. The updated route will continue to operate during peak hours.

      The timetable reflecting the changes will be published on the ASIP portal on August 29.

      The center emphasized that the increase in buses in service became possible thanks to drivers returning from vacation and the hiring of new employees who will begin work in September 2025.

      To address the staffing shortage, the state enterprise of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "Nizhegorodelectrotrans" has begun paying a hiring bonus of 150,000 rubles upon employment. In addition, from September 1 the enterprise will start Category D driver training, followed by employment and an additional payment.

      Recall that in July the E-6 connected the Tsvety residential complex and the 4th Nagorny Microdistrict of Nizhny Novgorod.
