With the support of the NRO of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), a memorial complex was opened in the Volodarsky District.

      On August 22, the opening of a memorial complex took place in the settlement of Mulino in the Volodarsky Municipal District. This was reported by the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Branch of the CPRF.

      Deputies and members of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Branch of the CPRF took an active part in the creation of the complex.

      At the center of the complex stands an impressive four-meter bronze monument created by the well-known Russian sculptor Ilya Korotchenko. This monument has become a symbol of the living continuity of generations: it captures the moment of passing a battle banner — from a soldier of the Great Patriotic War to a modern fighter of the special military operation. This image emphasizes the close connection between eras and promotes a deep awareness of the importance of memory, respect for the heroic past, and the preservation of historical traditions.

      The ceremonial unveiling of the monument was attended by the Secretary of the Committee of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Branch of the CPRF and Deputy Head of the CPRF faction Alexander Chernigin, Head of the Volodarsky Municipal District Dmitry Tretyakov, a deputy of the Council of Deputies of the Volodarsky District and head of the local branch of the NRO CPRF Oleg Raevsky, Head of the Mulino Territorial Department Evgeny Kalenyuk, servicemen and residents of the settlement of Mulino.

      On behalf of State Duma deputy, head of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Branch of the CPRF Vladislav Egorov, letters of gratitude were presented to the head of the district Dmitry Tretyakov, the head of the territorial department Evgeny Kalenyuk, and the head of the local branch of the NRO CPRF Oleg Raevsky.

      “Erecting a monument to the defenders of the Fatherland is not only an act of respect for the heroic feat of our countrymen, but also an important task in fostering patriotism among the younger generation. We are always ready to join forces to preserve the memory of those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our Motherland,” said State Duma deputy and leader of the Nizhny Novgorod communists Vladislav Egorov.

      The event was also attended by communists from the Moscow local branch of the NRO CPRF Denis Vyshegordtsev and Vladimir Zhdankov, who, together with technical college students, made a significant contribution when voting to choose the site for the installation of the monument in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
