In Nizhny Novgorod, traffic will be temporarily restricted on a number of streets in the area of the Volzhskaya Embankment over the weekend. The mayor’s office reported this.
The reason will be a large-scale event.
From 22:00 on 22 August to 07:00 on 24 August 2025, traffic will be closed on the following sections:
- Volzhskaya Embankment — from Betancourt Street to Sovnarkomovskaya Street,
- Sovnarkomovskaya Street — from Volzhskaya Embankment to Samarkandskaya Street,
- Betancourt Street — from Samarkandskaya Street to Volzhskaya Embankment,
- Strelka Street — from building No. 7 to building No. 3A.
A detour will be organized via adjacent streets. If congestion occurs, Strelka Street may be completely closed for the specified period.
Drivers are asked to remove their vehicles from the restricted area in advance. Cars left on closed sections will be towed.
