      Incidents

      The investigation into a criminal case against the head of the Center for Event Organization and Network Cooperation of the regional budgetary institution of supplementary education RC "Vega" in Nizhny Novgorod has been completed.

      The prosecutor's office approved the indictment. The woman is accused of fraud committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy — involving more than 1.4 million rubles.

      Recall that the accused, together with the director of a commercial organization engaged to siphon off the funds, concluded fictitious contracts. Formally, they concerned holding events under the national "Education" project as part of the "Success of Every Child" initiative. In fact, no events were held.

      Other individuals also participated in the scheme, helping to prepare forged documents. All actions were aimed at unlawfully obtaining funds allocated from the budget.

      To compensate for the damage caused, the defendants' property has been seized.

      The criminal case has been referred to the Nizhegorodsky District Court for consideration on the merits.

      Earlier it was reported that the former CEO of Nizhny Novgorod JSC "Teploenergo," Ilya Khalturin, will be convicted of exceeding his authority.
