      The patriotic song festival "Music of the Proud" (0+) will once again be held in Nizhny Novgorod. The second edition of the musical celebration will take place on August 31 on the grounds of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair. The event is organized by the Nikolai Rastorguev Foundation and the federal Radio Gordost with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The festival's headliners will be Nikolai Rastorguev and the band LYUBE, as well as popular singer Zara and one of the most striking debuts of recent years — BEARWOLF. Also performing on stage will be NANSI & SIDOROV, domestic rock legends Kruiz and Rok-Ostrova, the bands Zveroboy and Svintsovyy Tuman, musician Oleg Chubykyn and rapper mk 5.45.

      Among the participants are also regular guests of Radio Gordost's broadcasts: Sergei Nihaenko, Aleksei Poddubny (Django) and Chapaev.

      A special moment of the festival will be the performance of a fragment of Igor Matvienko's ethno-opera "Prince Vladimir", previously staged on the country's leading stages.

      The event will be hosted by well-known artists: Aleksandr Oleshko, Viktoriya Cherentsova, Rodion Gazmanov and the station's official voice — Elena Marakhovskaya.

      The festival will sum up the results of the eponymous music contest, which received more than 1,000 applications from across Russia. Winners in eight categories will be chosen by a jury chaired by Nikolai Rastorguev. Laureates will have the opportunity to perform on the festival stage and be added to Radio Gordost's rotation.

      Organizers note that "Music of the Proud" will become the radio station's largest offline event in its broadcasting history.

      It was previously reported that the festival of Nizhny Novgorod producers and folk craft masters "ArtElnya" (0+) will take place on August 23 in the village of Malaya Elnya.
