Artificial intelligence is being actively implemented in education in the Moscow Region, helping both teachers and students. As part of this initiative, free neural network courses for children aged 9–18 are available in family centers, as well as online courses for schoolchildren and college students, the TV channel "360" reported.
Free courses in family centers
From August to October, free artificial intelligence classes for children aged 9 to 18 will be held in family centers in the Moscow Region. The course program is designed with different skill levels in mind, allowing each participant to gain knowledge appropriate to their abilities. Groups are formed with 12 people, which ensures an individual approach and attention from the teacher.
Over the course of five days, participants will study the basics of working with AI and create their own computer game. This is not only engaging but also effectively promotes the acquisition of new skills and knowledge.
Online courses for schoolchildren and students
Online courses are also available for schoolchildren and college students as part of the "Code of the Future: Artificial Intelligence" project. The program is designed for 54 academic hours and includes video lectures, practical sessions and tests. Participants receive certificates upon completion. The courses cover data analysis, chatbot creation, programming and other topics. Registration is via the regional government services portal.
Preparation for the AI Olympiad
Schoolchildren can prepare for the All‑Russian AI Olympiad, which will take place in September. For this, a training stage in schools is planned until 29 September.
The role of AI in teachers' work
Artificial intelligence is not only becoming a subject of study but is also actively used in the educational process. It helps teachers check assignments, prepare lesson plans and compile lesson notes. Teachers emphasize the importance of understanding its advantages and disadvantages for effective application.
These initiatives develop students' skills and help teachers use modern technologies to improve education.
