      The head of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, carried out an on-site inspection of improvement works in two public areas at once — in the Prioksky and Avtozavodsky districts of the city.

      As the mayor reported on his Telegram channel, large-scale work on the boulevard along Gagarin Avenue in the Prioksky district has been completed. He noted that over the past few years five sections have been improved in this area, and they are now united into a single promenade zone about three kilometers long.

      The final stage was the square from Lebedev Street to 40 Years of Victory Street, where new pedestrian paths, benches, swings, two children's playgrounds, table tennis tables, plantings and lighting have appeared.

      The second inspection point was Vedenyapin Street in the Avtozavodsky district, where improvement began in 2022, and the current works are the second stage.

      Earlier, residents of the district asked for a place to relax with children, so a play town and a sports zone with table tennis tables were installed on the site. Trees and shrubs were also planted, lighting was installed and a bike path was laid.

      "Up next is the square in front of the Avtozavodsky Department Store," the city head added.

      Earlier it was reported that the square at the S. Ordzhonikidze House of Culture opened after large-scale renovation and improvement.
