      The State Labor Inspectorate in the Nizhny Novgorod Region brought the company "Daido Metal Rus" to administrative responsibility after investigating a serious accident that occurred on the premises of the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant (ZMZ). This was reported by the administration.

      The incident occurred on the evening of 2 June 2025 during production work. While transferring coolant-lubricant from a tank to a process vessel, vapors of the substance came into contact with a hot pump. This caused an explosion and a subsequent fire. As a result, a 34-year-old metal and alloy smelter was injured — he sustained burns and was hospitalized.

      According to the investigation report, the main cause of the incident was a breach of labor discipline by the worker himself. However, an accompanying cause was also identified — a lack of proper oversight by the management and specialists of the unit regarding compliance with occupational safety rules.
