A unique sporting event took place in Nizhny Novgorod — the "Inva Drive" auto race, in which drivers with disabilities took part. All participants drove cars equipped with hand controls.
The event was organized by the regional public organization of people with disabilities "Invatur" with the support of the charitable foundation "Pari i Pobezhday". Thirteen paired crews competed in the race, each consisting of two people. Among the participants was a veteran of the SVO.
The ceremonial opening of the competition was attended by the head of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Social Fund of Russia, Arina Sadulina. In her speech she emphasized the importance of such initiatives:
"These competitions show us the true strength of the human spirit, which helps to overcome any difficulties," she said.
As a result of the competition, the winner was Kavkaz Suleymanov, who demonstrated a high level of driving skill. As a prize he received a voucher for 160 liters of gasoline.
The organizers expressed the hope that "Inva Drive" will become a positive tradition and will inspire more and more people to lead an active and fulfilling life, regardless of physical limitations.
