More than 220 candidates ran for election to the first convocation of the Nizhny Novgorod Duma.

      In Nizhny Novgorod, the registration procedure for candidates in the elections of deputies to the City Duma of the first convocation has been completed. According to the Election Commission, a total of 227 candidates representing various political parties were officially registered.

      The distribution of registered candidates by political parties is as follows:

      The "United Russia" party nominated 39 candidates.

      LDPR also presented 39 candidates.

      The "Party of Pensioners for Social Justice" registered 39 candidates.

      The CPRF nominated 38 candidates.

      The "New People" party presented 37 candidates.

      Finally, "A Just Russia — Patriots — For Truth" registered 35 candidates.

      A reminder: elections for deputies to the City Duma of the first convocation will be held in Nizhny Novgorod. Polling stations will be open for three days: September 12, 13 and 14 from 08:00 to 20:00. Voting will be possible only in person, using a paper ballot. Remote voting is not provided this year.
