      The Nizhny Novgorod Region demonstrated some of the best results in the country in implementing comprehensive territorial development projects (CTDP). This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Marat Khusnullin, at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, dedicated to the results of the construction sector and plans within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life."

      Among the regions successfully applying the CTDP mechanism, Khusnullin also highlighted Kemerovo and Arkhangelsk regions, as well as Perm Krai. According to him, comprehensive territorial development is becoming an increasingly popular tool for urban environment renewal, allowing private investments in social and residential infrastructure.

      Earlier, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin reported that the region has about 50 sites at various stages of preparation and implementation within the framework of CTDP. Of these, 35 have already received approval from the Urban Policy Headquarters.

      "Only on the approved sites, plans include resettling over 100,000 square meters of dilapidated and emergency housing, as well as constructing 27 kindergartens and six schools at the expense of investors. Such scale has not been seen before," emphasized Gleb Nikitin during his speech to the regional Legislative Assembly members on July 31, 2025.

      It was previously reported that the updated master plan for Nizhny Novgorod will be developed by 2030.

      It is also worth noting that in 2023-2024, the total budget revenue of the Nizhny Novgorod Region from CTDP projects through auctions amounted to about 1 billion rubles.
