      In Nizhny Novgorod, metro passengers were informed about lesser-known ways to exit the underground in case of an emergency. The information was shared by the authors of the Telegram channel "MetroNN."

      Experts note that, besides the usual surface exits, there are also hidden evacuation routes within the metro system. One of these routes is the ventilation shafts located above the tunnels between stations.

      For example, such a shaft is situated near the "Happiness" shopping center on Belinsky Street. Beneath this area runs the track between "Sennaya Square" and "Svoboda Square" stations.

      Nevertheless, caution should be exercised when using ventilation shafts. They are equipped with powerful fans that can pose a danger to humans. Therefore, relying on these exits as a guaranteed evacuation route is not advisable.

      However, in extreme cases, ventilation shafts may become the only option to reach the surface. In an emergency, it is recommended to move toward them while exercising the utmost caution.

      It was previously reported that the metro team has completed nearly 250 meters of the second track tunnel between "Sennaya" and "Svoboda Square" stations in Nizhny Novgorod.
