      Officers from the Drug Control Department of Police Department No. 8 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Nizhny Novgorod detained a 24-year-old local resident on Karpinskogo Street. During a personal search, the man was found with four packets containing a substance identified by expertise as hashish, with a total weight of 7.99 grams. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 3 of Article 30 and Part 4 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted drug trafficking). During operational activities, it was established that the previously unconvicted suspect had placed several stashes with prohibited substances in the Sormovsky district of the regional center. The court chose house arrest as the pre-trial measure for the detainee. The investigation is ongoing. All facts of illegal drug possession, consumption, and distribution can be reported via the communication channels 02 or 102 (from a mobile phone), through an online complaint, or by contacting the nearest police station.
