The budget of the Nizhny Novgorod region has been increased by 600 million due to federal receipts.

      Budget revenues increased to 365.3 billion rubles.

      On July 31, the deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region adopted amendments to the regional budget for 2025 and the planning period of 2026–2027. The document was submitted by the governor and approved in two readings. The press service of the ZSNO reports this. According to the new parameters, the budget revenues for next year are increased by more than 600 million rubles and will amount to 365.3 billion rubles. Expenses also increased and reached 401.6 billion rubles. The deficit remained the same at 36.3 billion rubles.

      As stated by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly, Evgeny Lyulin, the region received additional gratuitous receipts from the federal budget. The funds will support the agricultural sector, provide medicines to preferential categories of citizens, feed for children with disabilities, payments to Honored Donors of Russia, and develop tourism infrastructure.

      Additionally, part of the region's own funds will finance the resettlement of аварийное housing, major repairs of Sosnovskaya School №2, and the design of the FOK in Chkalovsk.

      "Federal support allows us to grow the region's budget and address important issues. The additional funds will be directed to help agricultural producers, social protection of citizens, and infrastructure development," Lyulin noted.
