Society International Motor Rally (18+) BRICS, starting August 9 in Yekaterinburg and ending August 15 in Moscow, will pass through Nizhny Novgorod Region. This information is available on the official project website.
The route of the rally follows the new paid federal highway M-12 "Vostok," connecting Yekaterinburg and Moscow. The total distance will be about 2,300 kilometers. The convoy will pass through 11 Russian regions. On August 12, delegates will also visit the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The convoy will include delegates from 20 countries, including Brazil, India, Cuba, Belarus, Thailand, Turkey, China, Iran, South Africa, and others.
The aim of the rally is to familiarize participants with Russia's transportation infrastructure and regional cultural heritage. Business and cultural events are planned in each region with the participation of local authorities and project partners.
It was previously reported that Nizhny Novgorod ex-mixed martial arts fighter Oleg Takhtarov undertook a symbolic rally on a vintage car dedicated to the 30th anniversary of his victory at the UFC "Battle of the Titans" tournament.
