Railway workers will raise funds to help children with cancer.

      Society The Gorky Railway will hold a charity run titled "Reaching the Goal!" (0+) in honor of Railway Workers' Day on August 2, 2025, in Nizhny Novgorod.

      Collected funds will be donated to the non-profit organization "Nizhny Novgorod Oncology Research Center Fund" ("NONC Fund"), which helps children undergoing treatment in the oncology and hematology departments of NODKB, and their families.

      The festive program will take place as a citywide event in Gorky Central Park of Culture and Rest, located at 1 May Park, Nizhny Novgorod, Oktyabrskoy Revolyutsii Street, 31, near Chkalovskaya metro station. Entrance to the event is free.

      Railway workers are preparing an entertainment program for residents and guests of the city. The main sports event will be the charity run "Reaching the Goal!".

      It’s still possible to participate in the run, which starts at 10:00, on distances of 1,520 m and 3,000 m. A medical certificate is required for participation. Registration is available on the website https://reg.russiarunning.com/event/gzdrun2025, where you can choose your distance and make a donation from 400 to 1,200 rubles.

      Each registered participant will receive a starter pack with an individual number and a T-shirt. Starter packs will be issued on August 1 from 10:00 to 18:00 at 61 Oktyabrskoy Revolyutsii Street, as well as on August 2 from 07:30 to 09:30 at the entrance to 1 May Park from the side of the Children's Railway.

      All participants will be awarded a commemorative medal, and the top three finishers will receive diplomas and souvenir gifts.
