In Nizhny Novgorod, the results of the territorial subsystem of the RSChS for the first half of 2025 were summarized.

      On July 31, 2025, a meeting of the Commission for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations and Fire Safety of the Nizhny Novgorod Region was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Governor Pyotr Bannikov. The event was also attended by the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Vice Chairman Valery Sinkov, Minister of Regional Security of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Sergei Razin, Minister of Education and Science of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Mikhail Puchkov, and other representatives of ministries and agencies.

      The meeting summarized the activities of the regional subsystem of the RSES and the implementation of civil defense measures in the first half of 2025. Valery Sinkov presented a report on the work carried out by management bodies and forces at various levels in civil defense and protection of the population and territories from emergencies and incidents.

      "During the first half of the year, 22 notable incidents occurred in the region, which is 70% less than in the same period last year. The number of technological fires and fatalities has also decreased," noted Valery Gennadievich in his speech.

      The government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region is taking practical steps to improve the readiness of fire rescue units. Since the beginning of the year, four fire stations have been commissioned as part of measures to strengthen the material and technical base of the region’s fire service: in Novinki, Nizhny Novgorod; Usta; Arya in the Uren municipal district; and Pizhma in the Tonshaevsky municipal district. Additionally, 5,938 autonomous fire detectors have been installed in the housing of residents of various categories in the region since the beginning of the year. Since 2022, a total of 33,754 such devices have been installed in the region.

      Thanks to accumulated experience and rapid, coordinated response of all forces and means involved in the regional subsystem of the RSES, the consequences of emergencies and incidents are being eliminated as quickly and effectively as possible, with each situation remaining under control.

      During the meeting, the results of joint work by all services and units of this system for the first half of the year were summarized, and tasks for the second half of 2025 were set.
